Junior Section
At Stockton Cricket Club we have a total of five junior teams across all age categories: U11s, U12s(new this season), U13s & U15s who compete in the North Yorkshire Area Cricket Council North League and U17s playing in the North Yorkshire & South Durham Premier League Junior Division North.
UNDER 11s
At SCC we run teams that start League Cricket at the Under 11 age group.
During the summer Under 11 nets are held on a Tuesday evening, weather permitting, between 6.00pm-8.00pm. These sessions are for squad members and are by invitation.
On a Friday night between 6.00pm-8.00pm we run an open cricket session for children between the ages of 6-11. All children are welcome, whether novices or not. We will ask the more experienced cricketers from these sessions to join in with the Under 11 squad training on a Tuesday evening.
Under 11 cricket is played with a normal cricket ball and therefore protective equipment is required.
Protective equipment is not required at the Friday evening sessions, the intention being for children to just turn up and be introduced to the game of cricket.
Winter nets are due to start at Stockton Cricket Club indoor net in early November. Any queries please contact Paul Stevenson on 01642 645780.
UNDER 13s
The Club's Junior Section is well established in this age group with a strong and large squad. We are investigating the potential to have more than one team playing throughout the season to ensure that all of the children get an opportunity to represent the club and play competitive cricket.
It is a difficulty of having two years combined that as children progress they will play effectively one age group up every other year. This is how the leagues are organised and it would be impossible to play every age group due to ground availability.
The Under 13 age group will be commencing training in early November, and Head Coach, Dave Parr, will be in touch to clarify exactly when and where the nets and training will start.
