At a cracking players dinner last night, Rich Meredith was named Stoke's Player of the Season 2011-12.
After a hugely successful season there were several contenders but it was our openside flanker who took the award.
Rich was at home last night and absent through illness from the event, but I'm sure he could have heard the roars of approval when his name was announced.
A very popular member of the squad and a thoroughly deserved winner.
