Gales Hampshire Plate draw announced!
Stoneham now know their opponents in the Gales Hampshire Plate!
The 15th October 2011 will see Stoneham compete in the Gales Hampshire Plate for the first time in a few years. On Wednesday evening at the Hampshire RFU AGM the draw for this seasons tournamnet was made, and what a draw!
Stoneham have been given a home fixture against last years finalists, University of Southampton. It is quite an odd fixture being that we both base ourselves at Wide Lane, so is a home fixture for both sides. The winner will go on to face last years winners, Millbrook RFC away.
A tough draw for Stoneham, a club unused to Knockout Rugby, but i believe that this style of tournament could suit our playing style. Who knows what will happen on any given matchday! This is just one of the excitinig prospects for Stoneham this year!
