Just Two Games Into His Footy Journey, Jeremy Tartt Earns Starts at Fullback

Discovering Aussie Rules just two months ago by virtue of the St. Pete Swans - Tampa Bay GAA rules test, Bloods debutant Jeremy Tartt now has two starts under his belt.

The Monessen, PA, native, former US Army Sergeant and multi-faceted athlete quickly earned his first significant playing time during St. Petersburg's victory over the Miami Saints on April 22, and took to the arena as the starting Fullback last Saturday in a metro rules tussle with Orlando.

Despite a result that didn't go to the Red and White's favor, Tartt's constant presence on ball helped the Swans stay in the match early, thwarting several Orlando chances.

In a season that has seen new faces and young players begin to push for starting roles across the ground, the Swans have an infusion of fresh talent to build on for 2017 and beyond.

Two matches in to his transition from hurling, Gaelic and American football to the footy, it already seems that Jeremy Tartt will be an anchor on the St. Pete backline for seasons to come.
