The weather should be getting milder, the pitches should be getting drier and the evenings should be getting longer.... they don't seem like they are however in 4 weeks, one thing is certain...... The 2011 season begins for the current All-Britain Champions, St. Peter's of Manchester.
The 2010 season ended three weeks ago with St. Peter's reaching the All Ireland Junior Club Semi Final where the dream run sadly came to an end at the hands of St. Mary's of Caherciveen (Kerry). The boys have all had a well earned break to rest up and now the pre season training begins again in preparation for the new season.
Training will continue indoors on Tuesday Evenings at Manchester City Youth Academy (Platt Lane) over the weekend at the Institute of Sport (Sports City). New members are always welcome and are encouraged to come along and meet the squad. St. Peter's enjoyed the most successful year of its existence last season with the Senior Team winning the Pennine League Division 2 Title followed by the Lancashire Senior League, Lancashire Senior Championship & All Britain Championship. The St. Peter's Junior Team won the Lancashire Junior League to cap an outstanding season for both panels.
New members are always welcome and are encouraged to come along, meet the squad of players and become involved in a successful, enjoyable and sociable club.
