SRFC are happy to be involved with The Strathaven Festival of Sport and Leisure taking plaace in teh John Hastie Park this weekend.

Afternoon everyone, we are delighted to announce that we will be part of The Strathaven Festival of Sport and Leisure taking part in the John Hastie Park this weekend!

We will have coaches in attendance to introduce people of all ages to the sport of rugby and provide information on what the club is all about! We’re delighted to be a part of this event which will showcase the town’s wide range of sporting and leisure groups including Rugby, Football, Basketball, Hockey, Tennis, Lawn Bowling, Golf, Cycling, Canoeing, Angling, Fitness Exercise, the Equestrian Centre, Beekeeping, the John Hastie Museum Trust, the Hands on Project, Youth Opportunities and the Les Hoey Dream maker Foundation. We’re massively looking forward to being able to interact with all of groups and the wider community!

Strathaven RFC pride ourselves on quality coaching and providing “Rugby for All” We have team’s at all primary age grades, S1-S2, U15’s, U16’s, U18’s and at Senior Level. We welcome new members to the club with a free three week no obligation trail. All you really need to get started is a pair of football or rugby boots and some clothes that you don’t mind getting muddy. If you can’t get a hold of a pair of boots, don’t worry we carry a wide range of sizes which you’re more than welcome to borrow to get you started.

In addition to all of the above The Wee Train will be running, the new play area will be open and a Bouncy Castle will be onsite and there will be a programme of music on the Bandstand from 12.30!
