Thursday – EGM starting at 7pm. Saturday – Training for P6 & S1 – U16’s, P1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 7 at home against EK, 1XV away to Cumbernauld. Sunday – S1/S2 away to Whitecraigs and the U15’s travel to Greenock in league action.

Hi folks we’re early this week mainly to remind all members about this Thursdays EGM to discuss the 3G pitch proposal at Strathaven RFC which starts at 7pm. ALL MEMBERS should attend to have their say on the matter. If you are a member and haven’t received an e-mail invitation as of yet can you please ensure that the club has your correct e-mail address. Please note that due to the EGM this week’s Metafit class is cancelled and will resume on Thursday the 27th of March at 7:30pm. The invitation to the EGM is available on the website here;

Another reminder which will appear weekly until the event - Strathaven RFC’s Annual Stag Dinner, Saturday the 26th of April @ 6:30pm for a 7pm start. This is Strathaven RFC’s biggest night of the year for all of the gents of the club, stooped in history it’s also the clubs longest running night. Tickets are £25.00 per person which includes a three course meal with tea and coffee, table service, speeches from our very own President Garry Tough and Club Captain Joe McCallum, the 1XV awards ceremony including Most Improved Player, Players Player & Coaches Player of the Season. This year we have two highly prestigious after dinner speakers in Jim “Buller” Reid who we would bill as highly funny and extremely entertaining. Along with Jim we have former Scotland International captain Peter Brown, Peter is also an independent member of Scottish Rugby's appeals panel and acts as a match and discipline commissioner for both the RBS Six Nations and the Heineken European Cup so we expect he will have some excellent Rugby based stories for us. This really is a great social night for all men of the club to come together for a lot of laughs and a lot of “refreshment”. We hope to see everyone there. Tickets can be purchased from behind the bar.
