The day started off with an early meet at Killearn Health Centre for 0730hrs. Children were quickly allocated a mini bus before heading for the Borders.

A quick fuel stop (accompanied by a Costa) in Stirling and we set off for Peebles. A further stop off in Edinburgh put us slightly behind schedule, however we made our destination of Peebles for 1030hrs.

The P5s are P6s fielded teams who competed against our hosts. Both teams recorded wins in competitive games. The P6s are competed against Lurgen RFC and fought hard for their victory. The team from Ulster had visited Peebles with a combined trip to the Melrose 7s.

Once the games were over, all children were showered and changed before departing for the club house which is situated on the Main Street in the town. A fantastic and hearty Haggis, Neppes and Tatties followed before exchanging gifts.

A scenic route to England followed as we headed to our accommodation. Once unpacked children were conveyed to the beach where we flirted with the waves combined with a competitive game of beach rugby/football.

Dinner followed at 1930hrs before evening entertainment of Twister and other board games.
