Strathie Sharks U15/16 won there first home game of the Season with a tough victory over Blairgowrie. The Rams started brightest and took an early lead with a well worked try and conversion to put themselves 7-0 in front. Strathie immediately bounced back and Lorken Dyer almost scored his first try for the team with a strong run down the wing but Blair's defence stood strong and the Sharks were denied. However from the resulting scrum Jack Wilson managed to wriggle his way through and score his and Strathies first try which Ruaridh Lawrie converted. Blair finished the first half strongest and lead by 19-7 at halftime. After the interval Blair carried on where they left off and again scored an early try, missing the conversion. It was Strathie's team captain macauley holgate who showed great strength to power through and kick-start the Sharks come back in the second half, scoring 3 lung bursting tries holding off Blair's tackles in the process. Mike Baldie scored his first try of the season with a well worked move by the backs after the forwards had rucked well and allowed scrum half Cameron Voice to pass the ball out and Mike scored under the posts. Strathie now had the bit between their teeth, Dylan McKenzie scored his first try and Ruaridh Lawrie also scored a great individual try which rounded off a great comeback from Strathie.
