Conditions were just about perfect for a nice game of rugby today. Strathmore Sharks P4/5 were hosting Brechin Pirates. Sharks had a nearly full compliment of players, so the coaches decided to play the inexperienced new players first to see how well they bonded and the results were amazing. Perfect passing, great offloading and wonderful support helped them successfully win their first game.

The second game was a mixture of the more experienced P5's with the inexperienced P4's. This proved to be a match made in heaven, with great continuity in the game. Special mention has to be made to our Man of the Match, L Lumbasi, for his first game in the black shirt he made every tackle count, superb support play and scorer of three tries. The tackle of the day was made by the young P4, Rory, who made the big hit on the Brechin Pirate twice his size.

Team consisted of : J Cowan, J Coupar, E Duguid, O Voice, A Lovegrove, A Brunton, L Fullerton, L Cunningham, N Donaldson, C Malone, L Lumbasi, F Whyte, B Haggart and Rory.

That is us halfway through the Season and finished for the winter break. So far, we are undefeated this season, with only having drawn one game. This shows the commitment of the players at training and is testiment to the patience and experience of the coaches.
