What a difference, between the Loughborough and Atherstone games.Despite losing both games with depleted teams.,the Loughborough game was a good battling team performance. In contrast the Atherstone match, was a total mismatch of,well you could not have said individual performances, there were not any .We made the visitors look exceedingly good, and they weren,t.Chatting to the guys in the stand, there was a general feeling of resigned inevitability, and I must say unexpected good humour.
I realise the difficulties being experienced by the Manager in getting even a side together. What I would say however is that the Manager and supporters deserve a better effort on the part of the guys chosen to play in Studley colours.Lets have a little more pride and a little more effort.
It was good to see the old stalwart of Studley Football in a blue shirt again. What a tremendous servant he has been to the Club.Mitch.
I am sure that the game with Atherstone was just a momentary blip, and the Studley of old will be in evidence for the remainder of the Season. As a frustrated ex player unfortunately too old now for anything other than a kick around with the Grand children.,its all too easy to be critical.I hope my comments will be taken on board, and. , or but more importantly not give offence which was certainly not my intention.Come on Studley !!!!
