Dunkirk were the visitors today as we tried to stop this alarming run we are on at the moment.Bailey and Brown
were back from suspention to stiffen the side up.The Bees got off to a reasonable start and Bailey went close
with a header from a Hall free kick on 8 mins. The game became a midfield battle and neither side were able to
get control of the game and chances were few and far between. On 27mins Brown was unlucky when he produced
a good shot after a good run,Mountain produced the first of many good saves to deny him.Carter then tried his
luck from 18 yds but again the keeper produced the save.As the half came to a close the keeper cicult tooooontinued to
thwart the Bees and the sides went in 0-0 at alf time. The second half began as the first half finished with the
Dunkirk keeper living up to his name (Mountain) and proving very difficult to pass.Brown and Carter with chances
were the main players finding him in top form. The game took a horrible turn on the hour when a strtcher was required
for what looked a nasty injury to a Dunkirk player(we wish him well) and the game was held up for some 10/15
minutes. This stppage seemed to affect the Bees more than Dunkirk and within minutes they were 1 up with sub
Craig Meakin finding the bottom corner of Taylor's goal with a fine header on 65mins.The Bees pressed forward
but Mountain was not to be beaten and saved well from Brown,Carter and Adams. To compound matters a mistake
late on (87 mins) in defence gave Nick Hawkins the simple task of scoring to give Dunkirk revenge for the defeat
at their ground earlier in the season.M.O.M.Matty Collins.
