Sunderland RFC is based at Ashbrooke sports club in a mature residential area situated in the heart of Sunderland. The rugby club has a long and distinguised history to it, of which heritage it has every right to be proud of. The club takes a dynamic,positive approach to its various sections and members with its chairman & committee striving to ensure rugby prospers in the area.

The Rugby Section is divided into various sections — Seniors, Juniors, Ladies & Mini section all competing within the Durham County League Structure. With Coaching and matches taking place throughout the season.

People are important to Sunderland and it is through the endeavours of everyone who has volunteered their time and effort with the club over the years that thanks should be given for making the club what it is today.
