Sunderland Broom HC

The Olympic Torch is passing through Sunderland on Sat 16th June. There is a big event happening at Herrington Park and we have a stand to promote hockey and specifically our club. Due to our recent decrease in numbers we need to recruit members and therefore need all members of our club to pull together and give an hour/2 hours of their valuable time on sat 16th June to give out leaflets / take down contact info and generally promote hockey.

It would seem sense to be on site for 9.30am to set up so you can also see the Torch as it comes in at 10.40am.

We are scheduled to do a taster session at 12.30 – 1pm.

We preferably want to run an area from just after the torch has arrive(most people will probably about) until about 4pm ish - full details of timings later.

We need at least 2/3 people around for each hour so please could people let Helen know their availability asap. There will be loads of other activities about and its meant to be a fun day for all the family!! If you could indicate the time you are able to do it would be greatly appreciated.
