Sunderland Win The Summer League!!
Sunderland comeback from 4-0 down at HT to draw 5-5 to win the Summer League and end the campaign unbeaten!
In the final game of the summer league Sunderland started very poorly and found themselves 4-0 down at HT. Credit to Durham who scored 2 superb penalty corners drag flicking past Glen Olsen in goal.
Sunderland came back straight away in the second half with excellent attacking play and their pace of counter attack was causing a lot of problems for the Durham defense.
Sunderland pulled the game back to lead 5-4 going into the final minute of the game but gave away another short corner which was deflected into the goal to end the game 5-5.
Big thanks to all the lads who played summer league, a great performance to stay unbeaten and another trophy to Sunderland Hockey Club!

Michael Minto - 10 months agoIf not for an inappropriately timed, negligent, blind and all together useless pass backwards we would have made an outstanding come back and not only finished the league unbeaten but finished with maximum points. No names needed you know who u are.
Jonathan Argile - 10 months agoI would have put it in but forgot who it was!
