Yesterday saw four of the Sussex Merlin's teams in action with the U11's away at Eastern Rhinos in the festival and the U13, U15 & Mens teams all at home in the cup.

The U11's went to Colchester and played In the festival and came away with the win after playing some great rugby winning all four games without conceding any tries.

The U13's started the day off at home with the visit of Invicta Panthers in the 1/4 final of the cup. The Merlin's dominated from the start and ran in numerous try's to win the game 44-6 and progress into the semi finals.

The U15's where next up with a repeat of last years cup final welcoming Elmbridge Eagles, and after conceding two early try's settled down. They came out in the second half behind and after fixing the mistakes in the first half won the second half but with time against them they went out 26-32 .

Last up was the Men's team who welcomed Croydon Hurricanes in the preliminary round of the Cup. The game was played and the hits where coming in from both sides but the Merlin's never looked like losing and came out 36-20 winners to also progress into the next round.
