The Royals welcome Ashton United on Saturday afternoon for the final game of the season.

Well it is for the home side. Our visitors have had an excellent season and are vying for a play off place with Stourbridge and Workington. So the Robins will be wanting the points they need to secure their play off berth and maybe have another couple of games yet.

We caught up with Toothy for his thoughts before the weekend.....
"We are looking to finish the season with a win but it will be tough as Ashton are a very good side and we were well beaten when we went to their place back in December. We were poor on Saturday at Colwyn Bay and didn't start too well against Marine in the week but the lads responded very well in the second half and I was pleased with the win.

After last season's promotion, we were everyone's favourites to come straight back down again at the start of the season so to finish mid table is a great achievement for the club. Now the challenge for all of us at Coles Lane is to improve next season and push on again. But we need the town to support us week in, week out. The division's big clubs have the backing of 500/600 or more every week and it does give them a tremendous advantage financially. You never know, with what has gone on down in B6, maybe a few disenchanted Villa supporters will make their way to us next season and swell the growing ranks of the Sutton Ultras. Weren't they fantastic on Tuesday night!"

The kick off on Saturday is at 3pm and all are welcome to come and join us to celebrate the end of the season.
