Fa Cup action next up at Coles Lane

Fa Cup action returns to Coles Lane tomorrow (sat) with the visit of Hereford Fc. The Royals go into the game in poor form having not won a league game so far this season and in comparison tomorrows opponents have won all 7 off their league games all be it at the level below the Royals.

We caught up with Royals manager Neil Tooth for his thoughts on the game. "Im in no doubt it will be a tough game" said Tooth. "Hereford are on a massive high at the minute. and they have continued where they left off last season by winning football matches on a regular basis so their confidence will be sky high. We on the other hand are in a bit of a lull at the minute but the attitude the lads have shown this week in training has pleased me. The Fa Cup is always special but with Hereford having the large following they do tomorrows game will be even more special as I expect the atmosphere to be electric and I'm confident my players will step up and show what they are all about. Hereford are a very good side and we will give them the respect they deserve but our preparation this week has been all about what we do because if we get that right then we know we are a very good side capable of beating anyone."

Recent injuries have not helped the Royals cause in recent weeks so we asked Tooth if there was any news regarding players returning ? "Matt Jackson, James Beresford and Jack Dyer are all still weeks away but Stephen Palmer and Stuart McNaught have both trained this week without any setbacks." Said Tooth. "Luke Rogers is available this week but Lee Smith can not play as Tamworth don't want him Cup Tied."

Tomorrows kick off is 3pm and with a large crowd expected we advise anyone coming to arrive early.
