Royals manager Neil Tooth says his side will be looking to bounce back at Rainworth tomorrow (Sat) following last week defeat to Halesowen Town.
We caught up with Toothy this morning who had this to say,
"Rainworth has become a really tough place to go this season but we will be going there looking to win. When you lose at home it puts pressure on you to go away and pick up points and the lads are all keen to put right what happened last week when we played poor and got done with a sucker punch late on."
"Halesowen came for a point last week and went home with all 3 and you have to take your hat of to them as they were really hard to break down and they are 2nd in the league for that reason. I think both teams have played a lot better this season but they took there chance when it came and we didn't so in the end as much as we felt hard done by we only really had ourselves to blame. A lot has been made of the dismissals and it was totally out of character for both Lyco and Parso to do what they did and im not condoning it in anyway. Parso's tackle was a bad one but the one on Lyco was also bad and deserved a red and Lyco reacted and gets sent off. These things happen and you just have to move on. I didn't need to pull either of them as they both came to me and said sorry but as I said its not like them at all. The ironic thing about last week when we were supposedly the dirty side is iv got lads with broken noses, cracked ribs, gashed knees and shins and 1 on crutches following the game so it was not all us."
Tomorrows game see's former Royals captain Scott Rickards in charge of the Wrens and Toothy is looking forward to going up against Scott.
"Scott will be up for this one massively and he will make sure his lads are too as he wont want to lose to us. Its been a little harder for us to prepare as he knows 90% of my lads having played with them so he will know what to expect from us but im looking forward to going up against him as we get on well and its always fun trying to outdo someone you get on with.
