The Royals took on Gresley last night, in what was a game that saw 4th come to 5th.
Neil Tooth kept the same side that faced Loughborough on Saturday, with Jimmy Quiggan back in the squad for the departing Chris Gumery.
First Half goals from Joel Kettle and Louis Keenan (Penalty) ensured The Royals held a 2-0 lead at the break.
A Second Half strike from Darryl Taylor stretched the lead however goals from Michael Nottingham and Jordan Nadat, meant for a nervy last 5 minutes, however it was Kettle who doubled his tally for the evening late on, to give Sutton a 4-2 victory and seen us swap places with Gresley, taking over in 4th position.
Royals Assistant Manager, Ross Thorpe commented: "It was a massive 3 points for us and Gresley certainly (second half) never made it easy for us but we dug in and seeen the game out."
"Gresley are a good side and I have no doubt, they will be around the top 5 come April so too take the points at home following 3 good Away wins, was pleasing however the games are coming thick and fast now, starting with Lincoln on Saturday, another team who have gone on a bit of a run so we know it will be another tough test."
