The Royals made a dream start when they took the lead after just 30 seconds of play. Harry Harris picked up a loose ball and beat the keeper with a low shot from just inside the area. Some of the players pictured below, celebrated the goal before they had even had a touch of the ball!
Glapwell were level after 6 minutes and went into the lead with a quickly taken free kick which caught the Sutton side napping.
The decisive moment of the game came in the 66th minute when keeper Karl Lewis was dismissed for handling the ball outside the area. From the resultant free kick, Glapwell scored to go 3-1 up.
Mark Bellingham pulled one back for the Royals but two late goals for the visitors wrapped up a 5-2 victory for Glapwell.
The Royals need to recover quickly from this defeat as they face a tough trip to undefeated league leaders Barwell on Tuesday night.
