With Neil Tooth`s team having no fixture this weekend, they will look forward to a well earned rest before we welcome Blue Square Premier neighbours, Tamworth to Coles Lane on Tuesday 2nd October, in The Birmingham Senior Cup.
Currently sat in 8th position in The Blue Square Premier Division, Tamworth have really hit the headlines over the last 12 months, since the appointment of former Barwell manager, Marcus Law.
The Lambs reached the 3rd Round of The FA Cup last season, with a day out to Premier League side, Everton as a result of their cup run.
There will be a few ex Royals in Tamworth colours on Tuesday, as we welcome back former goalkeepers, Dale Belford (now Lambs Assistant Manager) and Tony Breedon.
The Royals famously won The Birmingham Senior Cup in 2010/11, beating Nuneaton Town, ironically at The Lamb, home of Tamworth FC.
