Sutton Coldfield Town Ladies 3-0 Goldenhill Wanderers

Sutton faced a hard working third-placed Goldenhill knowing that a win or draw would bring them the league title and they set off at a quick tempo

After 11 minutes centre-back Liz Smart bundled the ball over the line from a corner as Sutton continued to press hard

Goldenhill had some long range shots and a direct free-kick saved well by Chadlee Kerr

Just before the break Sutton captain Ruth Graham raced onto a through ball from the right and fired in from 20 yards across the Goldenhill keeper

After the break Goldenhill were more threatening, working hard down the flanks and creating chances from set plays

However on 61 minutes Liz Smart had a great header from a corner disallowed for a foul by another Sutton player in the box

On 79 minutes Sutton striker Tiara Hemans received the ball 30 yards out, turned to her left and drove a left-footed shot high into the roof of the Goldenhill net to complete a great display

Player of the match was keeper Chadlee Kerr who was solid, dominant and confident in the Sutton goal

Manager Andy Burman said "The ladies have worked hard and produced all season and this was a fitting end to our home games. It is a pleasure to work with such talented players and the best backroom staff anyone could wish for".
