Our opposition today is Thame United FC, a team which we played on the opening day of the season and lost heavily in a 4-1 defeat. We were unlucky that day, and it was not as one sided as the score line suggested.
Thame United FC are a club Based in Thame, Oxfordshire. They were established in 1883 making them one of Oxfordshire’s oldest clubs. Their best league performance was 4th in the Isthmian League Division 1 in the 1999-2000 season.
Today they compete with us in the Evo-Stik South Division 1 Central.
Thame have had a great season so far and currently sit in sixth place which is just outside the playoff places, so will be keen to gather more points today in the promotion push.
Sutton have slid down the table slightly to eleventh and will be keen to stop the fall, especially after the Boxing Day loss to Bromsgrove Sporting. This game will be a challenging one for Sutton, but then every game in this league is tough.
Here’s to a very entertaining game.
COME ON YOU ROYALS.
