The best way to keep up to date with Sutton Common Rovers

First team cup glory

1 year ago By Gary Brigden

The first team beat Camberley Town 4-1 in the Southern Combination Challenge Cup this afternoon.

Michael Campbell and Matty Auletta both went close to opening the scoring before Campbell headed the lads ahead just after the half hour, with Camberley replying minutes before half time.

Camberley started brightly in the second half, but two goals in two minutes took put us in full control. First Campbell latched on a through ball, rounded Stuart Norman and rolled home, and a minute later Auletta and Jordan Johnson-Palmer combined to set up Adam Allen for number 3.

Substitute Danny Fernandez thumped home a header with five minutes remaining to put the icing on the cake.

League campaign ends in defeat The lads went down 6-0 to a decent North Greenford Utd side, but for our young team, the experience will be priceless for them
