The Fat Turkey 2011
It’s the third year of The Fat Turkey Walk and the second year of the Fat Turkey Run and this year will be even bigger and better than ever before!
The walk kicks off at 11am from Suttonians RFC. If you haven’t got your sponsorship card yet, visit www.thefatturkeywalk.com to download one and away you go! Make sure you tap up the visiting relatives, family, friends and acquaintances over the Christmas weekend and bring your sponsorship card and cash down to the club on Wednesday morning to feed the Fat Turkey.
The funds generated are split between the IRFU Chariatable Trust and it will go into the development of rugby in our community, our club and will ensure we can continue to grow and build. Suttonians RFC has been and will continue to be open to all for the enjoyment of the sport and the enhancement of the community! For more info on where the money goes, visit www.thefatturkeywalk.com.
Once again this year, the Fat Turkey Run is being held at the same time in association with Run Ireland. Already, over 100 runners both of the serious and the fun variety have signed up and anyone looking to sign up can follow the links to the run section of www.thefatturkeywalk.com.
A World Cup Quiz will entertain returning walkers and runners in the club a 3pm with the top prize of a giant drinks hamper up for grabs. Entertainment will be provided by a wide range of bands on the day. Food is being provided by John Ainger. Rugby legends continue to support this great event... what famous face of the game will you see this year?
All in all, this is the best family day of the year in the local community. Get involved, get signed up and get going!
