Welcome to the U7's Home Page
Have a great Christmas and New Year, hope to see one or two of you at the New Years Party, otherwise our first session back is a home game against Norwich, 10am for 10:30 kick off.
Any new players are welcome to come along at point during the season.
Players have to be 6yrs old to play in games and festivals. 5yr olds are welcome to join in with training until they are 6yrs. To qualify for the Under 7's squad the player must be 6yrs at midnight 31st August, if they are 7yrs by this date they would play for the Under 8's.
We encourage all players to register as soon as possible. Once you've joined as a member the player will be covered by insurance from the RFU, be eligible to play in matches and festivals and also recieve a training top ( which should be returned at the end of the season).
At matches and festivals the players will be issued with a brand new rugby shirt this season which is to be returned at the end of the game. Players are expected to wear black shorts and black and gold hoop socks available from the club shop (you can check out the shop on this website). The club also sells other items such as old shirts which would be more than adequate for for training. Foot wear should be suitable for the weather and pitch conditions ( the only stipulation from RFU is that studs or blades are in good condition and are not sharp).The RFU strongly recommends Gum Shields but they are not essential at this age.
Volunteers, any help is warmly welcomed, any mums or dads fancy joining in with training and at matches, it's great fun!!! We also need support with fund raising and team administration. Please speak to myself or Richard P. ( Mini's Chairman, if your interested on any level.
