Added time goal

A mixed week for the Pedlars, discovering that Alex Vincent had actually broken his leg last weekend following a malicious tackle, a great victory against Downham Town mid week in the First Division Knock Out Cup, and a disappointing performance in the League against Cornard United.
Vincent expected to be in plaster for at least six weeks was at the Memorial Field Tuesday night to see the Team progress to the semi finals. An own goal, a Ryan Pearson penalty and a screamer from Joe Jackson seeing the Pedlars to meet Holland from Division One South at Shoemakers Lane Tuesday 12 March.
Saturdays performance a bit more pedestrian, taking the lead in the ninth minute, a penalty awarded, Kyle Plumb pulled back in the area, Joe Jackson converting. The visitors levelling in the thirty third minute. It looked as the game was sown up in the eighty fourth minute, Luke Reed picking up a loose ball on the edge of the box, some fine footwork to get position and then squeezing off a shot to find the right hand corner of the net. The Pedlars should have maintained their lead, but Cornard making a break in added time, the through ball arguably off-side, but the equaliser came and the match drawn.
The Reserves continued their campaign with a well deserved two one victory away to South Walsham. Liam Foreshaw and Aidan Sewell on target for the Pedlars, maintaining a respectable second place in Division Three.
No game next weekend for either First or Reserve Teams, a planned break for an in-season wedding ! The Clubhouse will be open as usual.
The next senior game will be the semi final of the Norfolk County Senior Cup against Dereham Town. The game is to be played at the FDC Bowthorpe, on Wednesday 27 February, kick off 7.30pm, Swaffham having been drawn as the away side.
The Under 18's were in action last Wednesday away to Sheringham. They took the lead through Tommy Harwood, but at half time were four one down ! A better second half performance should have seen them score a hat-full of goals and take the three points. Unfortunately some fine saves and the woodwork were against them and they could only claw two goals back. Alfie Bobbins and Connor Germaney adding to the Pedlars scoresheet.
