Pedlars on top form for another three points

A solid all round performance with great entertaining football for the faithful spectators and vitally three well deserved points. Clearly the best football played so far his season, the back four playing as a unit, all three strikers getting on the scoresheet and the mid-field proving support as required. A slow start as seems to be the trait of the Pedlars, feeling their way into the game. The deadlock broken in the eighteenth minute, Kyle Plumb first to the ball nipping between keeper and full-back. He notched up his second of the afternoon just two minutes later, Alex Vincent forcing the best out of the visiting keeper, blocking his shot to his left hand side but Plumb on hand to convert the loose ball from eight yards.
Ten minutes into the second half, Joe Jackson made it three, lobbing the keeper from eighteen yards. Jackson turning provider in the sixty seventh minute, a perfectly weighted through ball for Vincent to take on and slot across the goal into the left hand corner.
A busy week ahead for the Pedlars, Tuesday evening the battle for the A1065 as the Ghosts of Fakenham visit Shoemakers Lane. Always an entertaining local derby. Next Saturday the Pedlars head to Framlingham in the Buildbase FA Vase, second round qualifying.
The Reserves unlucky away to Earsham in the Cyril Ballyn Cup. Despite having all of the play, unable to convert and eventually going down two nil. Further Cup action for them next weekend, away to Snettishham in the First Round of the Norfolk Junior Cup.
The Under 18's bowed out of the FA Youth Cup Thursday evening, a good performance but never allowed to settle, their opponents Needham Market going two nil up in the first half. Getting a further two in the second half before Swaffham got onto the scoresheet through Harvey Neale. The visitors rounding their evening off with a fifth. Back to League action mid-week, with a trip to Aldiss Park, Dereham. Both teams known for their footballing play, so we look forward to an entertaining competition played the way it should be.
