Wind and rain

Not a good day for football, the wind and rain creating a spoiler for this top of the table clash. Two top class saves from Tommy Rix keeping the visitors at bay, Swaffham having the better of the first half and should have put their chances away. The visitors finally finding the mark with four minutes of normal time remaining, a scrappy goal but sufficient to claim all three points. The Pedlars will now have to wait until April next year for the return leg at Mulbarton and the opportunity to balance the books. The Pedlars now fourth in the League have another tough game next Saturday, at home to seventh place Lakenheath.
Boxing Day action at Shoemakers Lane with the 11 o'clock kick off, a local derby clash with the Pedlars entertaining Downham Town. A chance to blow away those Christmas cobwebs and build up an appetite before the Boxing Day lunch !
Thursday evening saw the Under 18's set the stage for Saturday's gamer, they clinched three points through a Nico Pates goal against Mulbarton Wanderers to close this year mid table.
