Preview of this weeks fixtures (12/12/11)
Freshers and 3rd XV to play rearranged BUCS Western Cup fixtures.
The Freshers are due to play Cardiff University Freshers in Llanrumney. This is the 3rd time the fixture is due to go ahead. With no Wednesday fixture, Freshers captain Rhys Dixon has selected a strong side and will give him an early look at what he has to work with ready for the Freshman Varsity fixture. The winner of this fixture are due to play Bristol University 3rd XV on the 14th of December. Kick off is at 5:00pm at Llanrumney Playing fields.
The 3rds travel to Triniy St Davids Carmarthen in a South West Wales derby.The Carmarthen outfit are a league below the 3rd XV but are the pace setters, sitting 3 points ahead of the Swansea University Freshers XV. The winner of the this fixture is due to travel to Cardiff on Wednesday (14/12/11) to play UWIC 4th XV. The fixture is due to be played at Parc Athletic, the home of Carmarthen Athletic RFC. Kick Off is at 7:00pm.
The Barbarians are due to play the rearranged Swalec Bowl 3rd round fixture against Banwen this Saturday (17/12/11). To confirm your availability, could you please get in contact with Rhys Dixon or Steff Jones.
