Chinnor U16's 48 - Tadley U16's 7
Tadley were in the game at the break before fading late on.
Tadley had the tough task of travelling to Chinnor and trying to stop the home side winning the league. The visitors had good numbers again bolstered by a few u15s who impressed ,Josh cable & Ben Potter made a big impact shoring up an under pressure scrum and Jack and Harrison filled in admirably when an early injury to 10 Cameron McDonald caused a reshuffle.
The home side looked nervous in the early exchanges and tended to play 1 man out rugby using their strong runners but Tadley tackled well and readjusted to the early loss of Cameron until after 10 mins Chinnor forced there way over for a 7-0 lead.
Chinnor scored again but this just woke up Tadley and they raised there game both Bish & Dan Stone went close before leading try scorer Calum Collington went over and converted his try 14-7. Chinnor extended their lead with a penalty from the last play of the half but Tadley went into the break in good spirits.
Tadley started the 2nd half well after early struggles in the scrum they were now competing and created chances but it was Chinnor who scored next and now chasing the game with nothing to lose Tadley chose to run or chip kick from there own 22 the high risk strategy often lead to turnovers and chinnor used their strong bench to run in some late scores, a tough scoreline on the visitors who had competed really well for 50mins but Tadley can be pleased with their effort against the league champions.
