Takapuna U21 v Silverdale U21

Another big tussle ahead this week for the U21's!

Well, what a season it has been so far and this weekend's game v Silverdale is all set to be another cracker. The league is showing to be very competitive and every team is showing little runs of form to change position in the league. The job that we have set our lads is to take each game as it comes and work hard to stay out in front. This weekend sees Silverdale coming to Takapuna and they will be brimming with confidence after a big win last week v North Shore. An impressive victory indeed and one that caught everyone's attention.

It certainly helped to sharpen the focus at training this week and with the lads battling to get through some illness and injuries we have done well to come out with a good session at the end of Thursday's training. As ever, the test for us this weekend will be to continue to improve on the week before and if we can do this the lads will be well placed at the end of the game.

Our match day sponsor City Motor Group once again give us welcomed support and our home games being sponsored for Player of the Day by the Quarry Bar are greatly appreciated! These businesses investing in grassroots rugby shows that they are not only supporting what we do but are investing in the young me of the future. We thanks them both very much for their continued support.

So, a 1pm kick off on field number 1 on Saturday. With the Premiers playing on Friday night, lets hope as many of the Premiers get down to watch the young lads as the other supporters and we will have a cracking atmosphere on game day.
