Talgarth Town net their first win in the newly formed Spar 2 League with a win over Four Crosses on Saturday.
Four Crosses came out to control the game with Talgarth taking a little while to settle. The first half saw the away team take the lead with a well worked corner headed in by Mike Bebb.
The second half started off more promising for the home side with the team opening up the game, creating more opportunities on goal and making sure each goalkeeper worked hard to keep out the opposition, Kirkham saving on the line and Chris Ellis needing to be on his guard as the Pavey twins charged forward. The equaliser came in the 79th minute from Scott Pavey with an 18yrd strike. The second booking and subsequent sending off of the No 3 from Four Crosses led to the home side having a free kick, which was taken by Kevin Lloyd and Rob McNamara
placed in the back of the net to give the red and blacks the lead in the 81st minute.
Talgarth: Kirkham, Mellor, Rees, Latham, Smith, T Pavey, Powell, Lloyd, McNamara, Perry & S Pavey.
