THC Hits 300 on Twitter!
Tameside Hockey Club got it's 300th Twitter 'Follower' this week as social networking proves to be a success in 2011.
Twitter has proved to be a success for Tameside Hockey Club during 2011 as we embraced the social media platform. On 29th December Gloscester City HC (@gloscityhc) became the clubs 300th Follower. The use of Twitter has helped the club to promote itself to new markets and we have seen 'retweets' from TV and hockey personalities. Twitter also proved vital during the club's appearance in the EH Vase Final as fans back in Tameside were able to keep up with the score both through Twitter but also on Tameside Radio who were reading out the Tweets on their Saturday Sports Show. THC have big plans for Twitter next year as they want to build their following to 400, find a new member through Twitter and arrange a friendly with one of their Twitter followers!
