Stuart Sadler called correctly as an understrength bowling attack took on title challenging Alvanley. A delayed start saw a good first wicket partnership for the hosts before Brock struck in the 11th over. This prompted an excellent spell from Tattenhall as they reduced Alvanley to 46-4 but a fifth wicket stand of 70 steadied the innings, and with another opportunity at 124-6 a partnership of 83 brought them up to 207-6 after another enforced rain break and tea was taken early. Dane Tinsley was making his debut and was unlucky with a couple of catching opportunities that didn't quite fall for him in the field.

Tattenhall began cautiously with Windell joining Sadler at the top of the order. Windell hit a couple of good boundaries before playing on at 24-1 and Sadler looked to keep the rate going before falling for 28. At halfway Tattenhall were 84-3 and in a good position to challenge as long as Coppack was playing securely. His bizarre dismissal LBW after an extended appeal looked to have been turned down meant a different perspective to the chase as wickets had been lost to poor running and Alvanley's fielding was of a higher standard all game. Rob Okell showed the character and defence needed to get the draw as Martin Sharp joined him for the last 12 overs and Tattenhall finished on 143-6. Only 5 points from the game means another win will be required during the last 4 games of the League season.
