Taunton U17's travelled to Worcester Sixway's today to play Darlington Mowden RFC in the National Bowl Final. After a slow start the young Titans began to pour on the pressure and started to run in tries whenever they were in possession. They looked dangerous in every area of the game and started to dominate in the second half ultimately winning 43-17.
Great applause should go to Darlington who refused to lie down and got their just rewards late in the second half after a sustained effort resulted in their last try and conversion. They were a credit to their club both on and off the pitch.
This is the first time a Somerset Club has reached this stage so to go on and win in such style made for a memorable day for all concerned. The Squad exemplified the rugby values of Taunton RFC and upheld the highest traditions of the club.
Congratulations to all involved!
