Welcome to the Tauranga Sports Club Inc website.
If you are considering moving to Tauranga and or already here for work or personal reasons, or are just looking to move to a club where you will improve your rugby, then look no further and check out our website...
As a club we field the following teams: Junior grades from U7's to U13's, Colts, Senior Reserves (B's), Premier and 1 Presidents team.
Tauranga Sports Club Inc was established in 1988, from the amalgamation of Tauranga Old Boys and Otumoetai Cadets. Today the club is extremely strong in the Bay of Plenty, producing several Baywide titles including Colts, Senior Reserve and Premiers. With the Premier team being winning 6 titles over the past 12 years (1999, 2003, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010).
The club produces quality rugby players, making the grade in Super 15 & Steamers, with 5 confirmed Super 15 players for 2012 and several others in contention. In addition to this the club produced 15 Bay of Plenty Steamers in 2011.
Making higher honours and still playing for the club are Sam Cane, Carl Axtens and Luke Braid (all NZ U20's) and Toby Arnold NZ 7's and CommonWealth 7's Team for 2010 Delhi Games.
Another strong feature of the club is the very will run Junior Club which has one of the largest Junior player base's in the Bay of Plenty ranging from U7's - U13's.
As a club we are fortunate to be positioned right in the heart of the Central Business District, with the main CBD being only 10 minutes walk.
