1st league win of the season

The reserves ran out 4-2 winners on another scorching day at the KG5. Tavs started the game brightly but fell behind after a pin point pass found the feet of the away teams centre forward who beat Nick Dodd to the ball to fire low past Ben Pope in the Tavs goal. Tavs equalised through new signing James Mccarthy. Mark Harsant's freekick was saved but the keeper parried out to Mccarthy who made no mistake from 3 yards. The home team pressed and went 2-1 up. Good work in the midfield from Mccarthy and Jo Powell created Harsant with a chance, his effort hit the post but the ball rebounded back to another new signing Tamas Csavar who calmly slotted the ball home from 12 yards. The 3rd goal would not look out of place in the Premier League. Good build up play down the left saw Harrison Parker deliver a lovely ball to the far post and the on rushing and ever green Luke Ostle flew through the sky like a salmon to hit a diving looping header over the keeper into the roof of the net from 14 yards. Randwick hit back through a 25 yard top corner belter of there own before the break. Tavs controlled most periods of the 2nd half and Mark Harsant made it 4-2 with a well taken penalty. The score line could have been higher but for the away teams keeper who made numerous outstanding saves to deny Harsant, Parker and Powell. Next up is the County Cup on Saturday at the KG5.
