Keith Westhead Memorial Shield

The ‘Keith Westhead Memorial Shield’ is awarded every season to a club member/player who has provided a long standing voluntary service to the club

In 1975 Keith Westhead a player of Tempest United, was tragically killed in a work accident at the young age of 26. Keith had recently married 6 months prior to the accident, the loss affected everyone who knew him

The club decided to honour Keith’s memory, and with permission from his family, who donated the original shield, the award commenced in the season of 1981-1982.
