Update from the TCC AGM held at The Cloughan on Thursday 6th October
TEMPLEPATRICK Cricket Club held its annual general meeting on Thursday, October 6.
There was a healthy turnout for this year’s AGM, including a number of younger members keen to get involved in the running of the club.
Following a brief annual report from Chairman Duncan Elder and a detailed presentation on the club’s financial situation from Treasurer Andy McCrea, the following people were elected as office bearers: President - Arthur Bowron,
Chairman - Duncan Elder,
Treasurer - Andy McCrea,
Secretary - Peter Shepherd,
Cricket Development Officer - Andy McCrea.
The following were elected sub-committee convenors:
Finance - Jay Hunter,
Marketing - Richard Brown,
Under 18s - Ross Bryans,
Social - Phil Kernaghan,
Cricket - Artie Campbell.
Also elected onto the general committee were Neil Reynolds, Stephen Fettis and James Jackson.
Following a successful season on the pitch for both the First and Second XIs, Richard Greer was re-elected First XI captain, while David McWilliams will take on the role of Second XI captain in 2012. The Third XI captain has yet to be decided.
Meanwhile, the club will hold its annual dinner and prize distribution on Saturday, October 22 at Ballyclare RFC. Tickets priced £20 are available from any member of the general committee.
