EMCL CONSTITUTION CHANGED

1 week ago By Keith Parnill

Not to be outdone by the NCEL, the EMCL has thrown up a change in its constitution for the coming season.

Champions West Bridgford have turned down their reward for winning the league last season, and have refused the promotion to the Midland League, so the promotion has now been handed to league runners up South Normanton Athletic, who have accepted the chance to move up the football pyramid.

Not officially confirmed, as yet, by the League, the news of the changes broke on Twitter earlier today. However, the League's constitution will be officially confirmed next week at the AGM.

West Bridgford started things off when they posted this...

"It has been confirmed that WBFC will be playing in the EMCFL for the next season. The new Manager will be Richie Holmes"

...followed shortly after by this from South Normanton Athletic

"We now have official confirmation that we South Normanton Athletic FC will be playing in the Midland Football League (Step 5) next season."
