ATTENTION CLOSING DATE SET - Teversal FC Seek Youth Section Chairperson

Teversal Football Club has a vacancy for the post of Chairperson in our Youth section. DIRECTORS SET CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS AS 12/03/2017

We have currently done a review on the management structure of the Youth Section which coincides with this vacancy becoming available.

It has been agreed to overall the Youth Section structure which will be led by the new Chairperson who will be given the clear remit laid out by the Youth Section and approved by the Directors of the Club. It is anticipated that the new structure will be fully in place by the 31st May 2017 so the new season of 2017/18 will be fully administrated under the new structure.

The proposal

1) Appoint a Youth Management Committee
1.1) A Chairperson; who will facilitate and support the running of the Youth Section through the Management Committee Members and with individual teams as and when required. They will hold a Youth Management Committee meeting with all members of the Youth Management Committee every two months and with individual sections or teams as and when required.
1.2) A Secretary; who will have the responsibility to ensure all teams meets their administration duties for the smooth running of all teams. The Secretary will hold a meeting with all Team Secretaries every two months and with individual teams as and when required.
1.3) Finance and Fundraising Manager; who will manage the Youth section bank account and individual team balance sheets. Produce a quarterly signed off balance sheet to present to the Directors plus facilitate a fundraising event annual calendar. The Finance and Fundraising Manager will hold a meeting with all Team Finance & Fundraising Coordinators every three months and with individual teams as and when required. In addition a monthly balance sheet must be received from each Team Finance & Fundraising Coordinator.
1.4) Head Of Coaching; will be the person to create a club coaching ethos and age group specific aims. In addition they will have the duty to work with the Club Welfare Officer and Charter Standard Coordinator to ensure all coaches are qualified to meet the delivery needs of their age group aims and the club coaching ethos. The Head Coach will hold a meeting with all Team Coaches every two months and with individual teams as and when required.
1.5) The Club Welfare Officer and Charter Standard Coordinator; will support all posts from 1.1 to 1.4 and attend the two monthly Youth Management Meetings in an advisory role only.

The Youth Management Committee; would meet every two months initially setting a business/development plan and them setting SMART aims to ensure we are delivering to our aims set by the Directors.

2) Team Post

2.1 Team Secretary; who would work closely with all officials in their team and directly with the Youth Section Secretary and when required the Club Welfare Officer and Charter Standard Coordinator. The Team Secretary must attend meetings when called by the Youth Section Secretary, Chairperson or Directors.
2.2 Team Finance & Fundraising Coordinator; would work closely with the Finance and Fundraising Manager to ensure the financial needs of their team are met. They will present a monthly balance sheet to the Finance and Fundraising Manager and attend meetings when called by the Finance and Fundraising Manager, Chairperson or Directors.
2.3 Team Coaches; they will be required to be qualified to a minimum standard to meet Charter Standard criteria and have or working to becoming an FA Licensed Coach with an action plan approved by the Charter Standard Coordinator. There must be a minimum of two coaches per team willing to work to the ethos set by the Head Coach and specific to their age group. The Team Coaches must attend meetings when called by the Youth Section Head Coach, Chairperson or Directors.

Note; The roles of Club Welfare Officer and Charter Standard Coordinator are governed by the Directors and applied across the whole club and are there to support all post within the Youth and Senior Section to ensure we work with the criteria’s set by all the governing bodies for the game and within the guidance set in the club handbook.

The new Chairperson must be able to develop a business plan and then facilitate the introduction of the proposed changes which it is hoped will enhance and improve the link from Youth to Senior football. The person will have to be a good communicator and willing to provide support and guidance where needed and be accessible to ensure the business of the club can be undertaken in a timely manner. A working relationship would need to be developed with the Club Chairman, Child Welfare Officer and Chartered Standard Coordinator.
