A full weekend of action for the Teversal Senior sides as the New Year finally kicks in.

The first team hit the road on Saturday as they travel up to Bradford to face Eccleshill United in a NCEL Division One fixture.
Having had a good Christmas period, with seven points out of the last nine available, three more points on Saturday will close the gap with Eccleshill to just two points, and possibly (if results go our way) move up a couple of places up the table.

Meanwhile, the Reserves will be hosting Hucknall Town in the Central Midlands League South Division (3.00pm). While the Reserves are sat at the wrong side of the table Hucknall are pushing for promotion - they have seven games in hand on the leaders and sixteen points behind - and they secured a 4-0 win at Watnall Road earlier in the season. A win will be hard to come by for the home side, but never say never.

Sunday sees a Carnarvon Street double header as AFC Teversal face Cavendish Social Club at 11.00am, followed by the Ladies later in the sfternoon.

Cavendish are the only side to inflict a league defeat on the side this season - a 6-3 away defeat in late October over in Clipstone, and the Teversal side will be looking to get revenge on the visitors and further cement their place at the top of the League table with half a dozen league games still to play.

Following the AFC game, at 2.00pm, Teversal FC Ladies take on Draycott Victoria in a league fixture. The girls picked up a point in the away game earlier in the season and will be looking to get all three points in this reverse fixture, and looking to get the New Year up and running.
