Second-placed Worksop Town cut Tadcaster Albion's lead at the top of the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division down to five points...

...with a 1-1 home draw against Garforth Town in midweek.

The Tigers looked to have clinched an important victory in one of their two games in hand over the Brewers when Kyle Jordan converted a penalty on 84 minutes.

But, Mark Simpson levelled for Garforth just three minutes later to mean the spoils were shared.

In the other game played on Wednesday, Bridlington Town won 2-1 at Albion Sports with goals from Connor Harman and Chris Adams moving the Seasiders to within a point of the top five.

Tuesday's fixture schedule was badly hit by wet weather with only two matches surviving with Pickering Town winning 4-2 at Nostell Miners Welfare.

The Pikes took the lead midway through the first period through Joe Danby and Robert Hawkes doubled their advantage at the start of the second period.

Lewis Taylor and Billy Logan gave them a four goal lead by the 80th minute before there was a mini revival for the hosts with Stephen Wales' strike and a Rob Bordman penalty giving the scoreline more respectability for them.

Meanwhile, Hall Road Rangers bowed out of the East Riding Senior Cup with a 5-0 defeat to Hull City in their Quarter-Final clash played at Bishop Burton College.
