Teversal Football Club have a number of volunteer roles available, read on for details;

Volunteer Opportunity – Youth Section Chairperson
The club have the post of Youth Section Chairperson available for someone who wants to influence a generation of local football at a club that will support them to achieve the challenges the post brings, whilst being part of the great team of existing volunteers.

The successful applicant will be the person who is willing and able to support members of the Youth Management Committee to deliver the aims of the Youth section in accordance with the club’s constitution, policies and procedures. This will include ensuring that all the legal and Football related regulations covering Safeguarding, Coach Development and Chartered Standard are maintained. On a social point we make you feel at home with other passionate volunteers who also want to make a difference at their local football club.

Part of the role would require having a close working relationship with the Club Directors and attending Director meetings and producing a report on the status, challenges and successes over any given period. Further liaison will be required with outside bodies, such as Notts FA, The FA and organisations whose facilities we use.

Supporting the Youth Section Officers to ensure a smooth, consistent and one club policy is delivered through the club is a key element, with a willingness to support and develop individuals and teams for the good of achieving the club aims. Obviously support and training will be offered for the successful applicant too.

Volunteer Opportunity – Coach Coordinator
The club have the post of Coach Coordinator available for someone who wants to influence a generation of local football at a club that will support them to achieve the challenges the post brings, whilst being part of the great team of existing volunteers.

The successful applicant will be the person to create a club coaching ethos, age group specific coaching aims that will be encased in a club DNA that will be produced in early 2019. The opportunity to go on coaching courses will be available whilst developing one of the best community facilities in the area, without it, many men, women, boys and girls would not get an opportunity to play football.

The post will hold a position on the Youth Management Committee with specific duties to work with the Club Welfare Officer and Charter Standard Coordinator to ensure all coaches are qualified to meet the delivery needs of their age group and club aims whilst working to the club coaching ethos. The club aspiration is that all coaches must be FA Licensed approved.

Communication with all coaches will be done through meetings every 6 to 8 weeks as per the annual calendar agreed by the Youth Committee. Individual team meetings will be needed to be held on a when required basis. Whilst ad-hoc individual support and communication will be required for all coaches to assist with their continuous professional development (CPD). Part of this may be working on Football Association initiatives such as the Mentoring scheme and other opportunities they identify.

Volunteer Opportunity – Media Officer
The role will involve helping to develop and manage the club’s communications channels including; social media, website, written publications & media relations to help maintain and increase the clubs profile. Utilising existing media contacts as well as developing new relationships, you will be the point of contact for press and PR enquiries relating to all areas of the football club, whilst working alongside the Directors and other Officers of the club, whilst being part of the great team of existing volunteers.

A knowledge of the operational workings of the football industry would be advantageous.

Summary of Main Responsibilities:
The post could involve the following:
1. To help lead the managing and shaping of the organisation’s public reputation.
2. To help develop and deliver a media and communications strategy, both online and offline.
3. To draft clear and compelling press releases, statements, web and social media for all aspects of the club.
4. To oversee the drafting, editing and publication of internal and external documents such as matchday programmes, promotional literature and other marketing material.
6. Responsibility for helping to liaise with and managing key relationships – Trustees, partners, players and ambassadors

Volunteer Opportunity – Matchday Secretary
The role will involve helping and supporting the Football Secretary in providing the senior teams of the club support on Matchdays. This will mean liaising on the day with Match Officials, Opponents and other club volunteers to ensure the club meets its matchday obligations, whilst being part of the great team of existing volunteers.

A knowledge of football administration and use of the Football Association computer-based systems would be advantageous but not essential as training and support can be provided.

Summary of Main Responsibilities:
The post would involve the following:
1. Working closely with the Football Secretary, Senior Football Management Team, Directors and other volunteers.
2. The use of a mobile phone or other devices for texting/calling in match results to the relevant governing body.
3. Welcoming Match Officials and Opponents and ensuring they are looked after.
4. Other general duties such as packing kits away and ensuring changing rooms etc… are left as we find them.

Volunteer Opportunity – Matchday First Aiders
We have vacancies to increase our First Aider Team to provide cover for all games for our First Team, Reserves and Ladies Teams to work alongside our existing First Aider, whilst being part of the great team of existing volunteers.

We would like someone who solely looks after the First Aid needs on match-days, for all our senior teams and remove the responsibility away from the Senior Management Team.

The post is open for anyone looking to be involved in the game being part of the match day team in a medical way and is a stepping stone that the club is willing to support the right candidate in providing training, equipment and materials to successfully fulfill the post and aide progression for someone who may be looking at progress in this area of the game.
