It was possibly the first time since the League was formed that Graham Street Prims hit top spot yesterday. But their stay at the pinnacle was brief as promoted SHERWOOD COLLIERY’s fifth win to retain their 100% start to the season saw them take over. Visitors TEVERSAL were the first to show and Dan Fletcher gave them first blood after 26 minutes. But two goals in as many minutes in the moments leading up to the half time interval from Gareth Curtis put Sherwood into the driving seat. Shaun Smith extended their lead in the 64th minute and Liam Theakstone made sure the points stayed at home with a fourth goal nine minutes from the end.
In Tuesday’s other game KIMBERLEY MINERS WELFARE came back from being two goals down at the break to take a point from their game at RADFORD. Jake Morris had given the home side the lead midway through the first half and Ryan Smith extended the advantage five minutes before half time. Mason Frizelle brought Kimberley back into the game four minutes after the restart and Jermaine Palmer’s 70th minute leveller made sure the points were shared.
