When Teversal FC were last in the Northern Counties East League, Clipstone FC were in the a level above us in the Premier Division, but last season saw the Cobras finish rock bottom with just two draws to their name in their league campaign and relegated. The re-jigging of the leagues by the FA saw them moved from the NCEL into the EMCFL.
During the close season the Cobras have made a number of signing, including a few from Teversal's successful opening campaign which saw the Tevie Boys finish third.
The last league meeting between the two clubs were in the 2014/15 season, Clipstone finished as League Champions doing the double over us - 5-0 at Clipstone, and 1-0 at Carnarvon Street - while Teversal finished near the bottom of the final table.
Although the season has just begun, Clipstone are two games in and still looking for that first point, but they have had a win in the FA Cup at Barton Town in a replay, coming back from 3-0 down to win 4-3, so don't underestimate them.
