All three of the Toolstation NCEL sides who were in County Cup action in midweek claimed excellent wins...

...to book their place in the last four of their respective competitions.

Pickering Town were 4-1 victors at home to Ebac Northern League opponents Marske United in the North Riding Senior Cup, taking an early lead through an own goal and Nicholas Thompson doubling their advantage before half-time.

Joseph Danby added a third past the hour mark and, although the visitors pulled one back with five minutes to go, it was the Pikes who completed the scoring with Ryan Blott netting on 87 to confirm their Quarter-Final victory.

The other two matches took place in the Notts Senior Cup with Rainworth Miners Welfare notching up a 9-1 victory over Precision Nottinghamshire Senior League side Real United at Kirklington Road.

The Wrens were four goals up by the interval with Matthew Sykes scoring twice, once from the penalty spot, whilst Matthew Harris and Philip Buxton also found the back of the net.

The away side reduced the deficit early in the second period but Rainworth marched on to victory as Sykes completed his hat-trick with a second spot-kick, Nicholas Langford got their sixth, Harris then scored his second and there were late goals from Tomas Poole and Ryan Herbert.

Rainworth could face Teversal in the Semi-Finals after the Carnarvon Street side defeated East Midlands Counties League leaders West Bridgford, 2-1, on their travels.

The win came courtesy of goals either side of half time through an own goal and then a Craig Mitchell strike and, although they were reduced to ten men in the last ten minutes and the hosts halved their arrears, Teversal held on to pick up a fine away victory.
