I have been following Thackley for years and years through thick and thin ups and downs. I have noticed that not much has been said about the departure of team coach Sean Regan. This is a bloke who we have had before and he has left once again !! Surely this is the type of coach we need to keep on board at any cost even on a part part time basis. From memory he is a UEFA qualified coach and will give the lads the coaching that is needed to keep them on top of their game. Fair enough he has gone on to better things "part time" to a premiership club but surely we could have done something to keep him at Dennyfield . No announcement yet on who is coming in as second in command to Vinnie. Let's hope they have the experience that Sean Regan has. Good Luck in your new role Sean and we may see you back at Dennyfield for a third time.

Don't know who you are Black Jedi but I think it's perhaps more appropriate to post any criticism of the Club using your own name ,rather than hiding behind a pseudonym.

Firstly, come on 'Black Jedi' show yourself! It's always good to hear the opinions of our followers, especially those of several years' standing. However, I believe, and I know that Webmaster agrees with me (!) that posts to this forum and website should not be altogether anonymous because that would be open to abuse (lthough not in your case of course). To allow complete anonymity for one could be to set a precedent for others who might be less well-intentioned.

Posts on the website really can be far more interesting if they are anonymous to the general reader. But to have some control (the NCEL reuires that of us) someone needs to be aware of the actual person behind the pseudonym.

So why not let Webmaster know who you are by using the message facility under "Contacts & Location" on the home page? Only Webmaster can receive and access such messages and he assures me that anonymity will be guaranteed to those who (like you - and I'm not being intentionally patronising) post genuine views and do not abuse the system!

This applies to anyone who might want to post items on the forum but might want to keep some anonymity!

Secondly, I think that everyone at Thackley would agree with you about Sean's departure. It is a great loss to the club, but we must respect his wishes. He felt that he would be unbale to devote the necessary time to both part-time roles (as well as keeping up his full time job). He was fully open with the club and who at Thackle would deny him the opportunity that has presented itself to him?

Thirdly, as far as the replacement is concerned, Andy Patterson has accepted that role. Andy has a great deal of experience on and off the pitch and Vinny is more than happy to have him on board. The appintment was notified in the T&A, and from that source the officials section of the website (home page/contacts & location/officials) was updated a couple of days ago.

Many thanks foryour contribution, and may you long continue to support Thackley. But may that support be more through the thick than the thin, more on the ups than the downs!

With having to work away recently and not been to a game for a while because of bad weather etc i have just been reading your reply regarding who has taken over as vinny's assistant, andy seems like a good lad who will certainly know how to shout which vinny will like having been mr watson's number 2 for a while. While i have been watching football for a number of years at amatuer level i also watch various training sessions and pre-match warm-ups to see how different clubs do things and like i say thackley is the club i try and watch at most home games and i hope vinny and co took notes on how the warm up pre game was done as it seemed profesional and certainly got the lads ready for the game ahead,Also living close by gave me a chance to go watch pre-season on immanuel fields and the variation on sessions and keeping all lads involved with a sense of enjoyment is a hard task to do,so like i say i hope vinny and gang took notes on how it has been done and keep thackley on the up.weather permitting thackley will get 3 points at selby tomorrow
